SandwichBoard respects the privacy of its users and the privacy of their personal information and data. "Personal information" is defined as any information or data you provide to us. You are solely responsible for your personal information, and we act as a passive conduit for the online distribution and publication of your information. Although we own the code, databases, and all the rights to our services, you retain all the rights to your personal information.

SandwichBoard also collects and analyzes information regarding the use of its services by visitors and users. Information collected may include but is not limited to web site traffic volume, frequency of visits, type and time of transactions, Internet Protocol address, browser type, and operating system. As well, whenever you communicate with us, we may retain those communications in order to process your inquiries, respond to your requests, and improve our services.

Cookies

A "cookie" is a small amount of data, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier, that is sent to your browser from a web site's computers and stored on your computer's hard drive. SandwichBoard uses cookies to assist in delivering its services and to provide a positive and personalized user experience. Persistent and session ID cookies are used to identify unique visitors and to provide users with easy access to their personal information. Cookies are required to use SandwichBoard's services. If you have your browser set to reject cookies, your usage of SandwichBoard's services is likely to be interrupted.

Use of Personal Information

SandwichBoard uses collected personal information to provide products and services, operate billing, identify and authenticate users, improve its services, contact users, and conduct research and development. In some cases, we may process personal information on behalf of and according to the instructions of a third party. We use personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected and in accordance with this Policy. We regularly review our data collection, storage, and processing practices to ensure that we only collect, store, and process the personal information needed to provide or improve our services.

Storage and Processing

SandwichBoard uses third party vendors and service providers to provide the necessary hardware, software, networking, storage, and related technology required to offer its services. We store and process personal information on computers in the United States of America and in other countries. In some cases, we process personal information on a computer outside your own country. You also understand that the technical storage, processing, and transmission of the services, including your content, may be transferred unencrypted and involve (1) transmissions over various networks; and (2) changes to conform and adapt to technical requirements of connecting networks or devices. You consent to all this by your use of our services.

Security

SandwichBoard has implemented several security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of personal information. These include internal reviews of data collection, storage, and processing practices, as well as security measures.

We restrict access to personal information to our employees, contractors, and agents who need to know such information in order to operate, develop or improve our services. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations and may be subject to discipline, including termination and criminal prosecution, if they fail to meet those obligations.

We take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information we store and process is accurate, complete, and current, but we depend on our users to update or correct their personal information whenever necessary. Each user is assigned a unique user name and password, which is required to access their account. It is each user's responsibility to protect the security of his or her login information.

These safeguards help prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the appropriate use of data, but no guaranty can be made that your personal information will be secure from intrusions and unauthorized release to third parties.

Accessing and Updating Personal Information

When you use SandwichBoard's services, we provide you with access to your personal information and the ability to correct this data if it is inaccurate or to delete such data at your request, as long it is not otherwise required to be retained by law, or for legitimate business purposes. We ask individual users to identify themselves and the information requested to be accessed, corrected, or removed before processing such requests, and we may decline to process requests that are unreasonably repetitive or systematic, require disproportionate technical effort, jeopardize the privacy of others, or would be extremely impractical (for instance, requests concerning information residing in backups or archives), or for which access is not otherwise required. In any case where we provide information access and correction, we perform this service free of charge, except if doing so would require a disproportionate effort.

Disclosure

SandwichBoard may disclose personal information under special circumstances, such as to (1) satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request, (2) enforce our Terms of Use and Service, including investigation of potential violations thereof, (3) detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues, (4) protect against imminent harm to the rights, property or safety of SandwichBoard, its users, or the public as required or permitted by law, or (5) resolve any issues that cannot be resolved between SandwichBoard and any other entity or individual.

We may share certain pieces of aggregated, non-personal information that does not identify you individually with third parties.

If SandwichBoard becomes involved in a merger, acquisition, or any form of sale of some or all of its assets, we will endeavor to provide notice before personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Account Cancellation or Termination

If you choose to cancel your account or your account is terminated because of your breach of our Terms of Use and Service, please be aware that SandwichBoard may retain residual personal information in its backup and archival copies of data. Other storage of your information will be removed appropriately.

We will not collect or use personal information for purposes other than those described in this Policy unless we have obtained your prior consent. You may decline to submit personal information to us or opt out of certain uses of it. In that case, SandwichBoard may not be able to provide services to you.
